[Pratt , KS-Feb 18th, 2026] - Men's Basketball was at home against Cloud for a late season conference game. The Beavers were searching for their fourth conference currently on a six game losing streak. The Beavers would play an ultra competitive game on Saturday night but would lose 69-67. 

Game Recap: 

Pratt (6-20) (3-18) started off the first half cold as they fell behind 10-2 early on. The Beavers would get the offense going after Seydina Faye nailed a three. Kisean Robinson also contributed to the early Beaver scoring, cashing in a mid range jumper and free throw of his own. Cloud (16-9) (12-7) would answer by going on a 7-0 run making it an eleven point game 21-10. The Beavers were able to cut the Cloud lead to nine after "AJ" Akot came off the bench to convert two corner threes. The Beavers would go back and forth for the following three minutes with the score being 38-27. Cloud held a nine point lead with just two minutes remaning in the half. The Beavers refused to go down without a fight as Kisean Robinson hit a layup with under a minute to play and Scottie Guillory hit a buzzerbeating three as the half expired. The Beavers did not play their best basketball in the first half yet despite that they only trailed 39-34 at the half.  

The Beavers shot 13-31 (41.9%) from the field in the first half. The Beavers were letting it fly from beyond the arc shooting 5-16 (31.3%) from three. Cloud shot slightly better splits from the field going 17-32 (53.1%) from the field and 3-10 (30.0%) from deep. Seydina Faye and Scottie Guillory led the Beavers in scoring at the break.  

The second half began by Cloud catching fire as they went on a 16-4 run. Seydina Faye scored the first points for the Beavers in the half as the beavers fell behind 54-38. Both teams then traded shots with each other with neither team separating. After the first 12 and a half minutes of the second half by the Beavers had chipped down the Cloud lead but still trailed by 8 points 60-52. "Kele" Kane hit a three assisted by Scottie Guillory that would get the Beavers within five of the Thunderbirds at 60-55. Cloud answered right away by converting a layup on the other end to make the score 62-55. The Beavers refused to quit as Seydina Faye dished the ball to Galvin Luketa who nearly blew the roof of The Dome by nailing a clutch three to bring the Beavers within 4 points. The Beavers still trailed by 4 despite back to back threes by Kane and Luketa. Cloud responded by hitting two free throws. Galvin Luketa then hit a catch and shoot three to bring the Beavers within three points of Cloud 64-61. The Beavers had been determined to claw their way back in this game and who else but Scottie Guillory to hit a major three point basket. With Scottie's three the Beavers had tied the Thunderbirds at 64-64. Unfortunately Cloud extended their lead back to 4 points over the next few possessions. Scottie Guillory nailed a contested turnaround jumper to bring the Beavers within two with 28 seconds left. The Beavers got a steal and then fouled on their next possession which would send Justin Robinson to the line. Justin would have the chance to tie the game at the line but came up one for two and the Beavers now trailed 68-67 with just a few seconds left. Cloud would hit one more free throw and the last second heroics were not happening tonight in Pratt. Pratt fell for the 20th time this season against Cloud this time in heartbreaking fashion 69-67.
