Tuesday night, the Beavers hosted the #17 ranked Fort Hays Tech Northwest Tigers along with the #10 ranked Cowley Tigers.
In the Beavers first dual of the night, they took on the 17th ranked Fort Hays Tech Northwest Tigers.
Zane Donley got the dual started with a 14-3 Major Decision over #2 Ernest Grant at 125lbs. The Beavers kept it rolling scoring a Fall in five of the next six matches, coming from Matt Long at 133lbs., Dustin Loughrie at 149lbs., Jacob Goodwin at 157lbs., Zachary Wessley at 165lbs., and Trystian Juarez at 174lbs. Drew Withington earned a Technical Fall over Cameron Younger at 184lbs. while, in the final two bouts, the Beavers closed it out with 2 Falls from Preston Hagel at 197lbs. and Marcel Gonzalez at 285lbs.
Beavers took the dual with a score of 51-3 over #17 ranked Fort Hays Tech Northwest Tigers.
In the next dual, the Pratt Beavers took on #10 Cowley College Tigers.
Matt Long got the scoring started for the Beavers at 133 lbs. with a 18-0 Technical Fall. Zachary Wessley scored a Major Decision over Toby West 17-7 while Preston Hagel got another 10-1 Major Decision for the team over Jason Osgood. In the final bout of the night, Marcel Gonzalez received a forfeit to end the dual.
The Beavers fell short 26-19 to the #10 ranked Cowley Tigers. The Beavers are now 4-1 in the KJCCC.
Pratt Wrestling will be back in action on Wednesday, February 4th in Concordia, Kansas to take on Cloud and Labette.
