The Beaver Wrestling Team continued their season at the Cougar Open in Great Bend, Kansas at the Great Bend Athletic Center on December 14th.
The Beavers had 18 Individuals competing, with 17 Placements.
At 125 lbs., Zane Donley finished 1st Place with a win over teammate Gabe Sherrell. Keaton Rottinghaus finished with 5th place.
At 133 lbs., Matt Long dominated his way to a 1st Place finish.
At 141 lbs., Jameal Agnew finished with 1st Place.
At 149 lbs., Dustin Loughrie took 5th Place.
At 157 lbs., Jacob Goodwin Technical Falled his way to a championship.
At 165 lbs., Blake Winsor defeated teammate Zach Wessley in the championship.
At 174 lbs., Trystian Juarez battled to a 2nd Place finish. Easton McLain took home 5th Place.
At 184 lbs., Drew Withington pinned his way to a 1st place finish.
At 197 lbs., Preston Hagel took 1st Place, with all 1st period pins.
At 285 lbs., it was all Beavers. Sebastian Lopez took 1st Place. Corbin Puga took 2nd Place, and Marcel Gonzalez took 3rd Place.
The Beavers will continue their season on January 4th where they will compete at the Jet Open hosted by Newman University in Wichita, Kansas at Fugate Gymnasium.
