Sophomores Shine as Beavers Defeat Colby in Memorable Finale at the Beaver Dome

It was a fitting sendoff for Pratt's sophomore class as the Beavers delivered a determined, team-oriented performance to secure a special victory over the Colby Trojans at Dennis Lesh Sports Arena with a final of 63-60.

Sophomore Kalani Brock led the charge with 21 points and 6 rebounds, attacking offensively and setting the tone for the night. Fellow sophomore Polla Balint added 13 points, battling inside and contributing in key moments throughout the contest. With less than 25 seconds remaining in the opening period, the Beavers knotted the score at 14 and never surrendered the momentum from that point forward.

Pratt carried a seven-point lead into halftime and continued to fight to protect that advantage throughout the second half. Every time the Trojans threatened, the Beavers responded with poise and composure. Emilia Borissova played a pivotal role in controlling the tempo, finishing with 9 points and 5 assists while committing just two turnovers in a steady floor performance.

The Beavers also made their presence felt on the glass, outrebounding Colby 34-29. That effort on the boards helped limit second chances and provided critical possessions down the stretch.

More than just a win, the night was a celebration of the sophomores who have poured their time, effort, and heart into the program. In front of the home crowd at the Beaver Dome, they closed out their playing careers on their home floor in grand fashion — with grit, unity, and a victory to remember.
