The Beavers faced a tough challenge against the high-powered Saints of Seward County Community College, ultimately falling 100–58.
Emilia Borissova led the Beavers offensively with 18 points, shooting 7-for-18 from the field. Kalani Brock battled through illness for much of the game and still managed to contribute 15 points. On the glass, Daniella Zamora paced the Beavers with 6 total rebounds.
Despite the lopsided final score, the Beavers showed depth and effort, as all 11 available players saw at least five minutes of action. One bright spot on the night came at the free-throw line, where the Beavers converted 6 of their 8 attempts.
The Saints' scoring depth and tempo proved to be too much, but the Beavers will look to take positives from the performance as they continue through the season. The Beavers will be back in action this coming Saturday afternoon when they face the Barton Cougars at 2pm.
