Polla Balint led the Beavers offensively, scoring 9 points while shooting 3-for-5 from the field and 2-for-3 from the free-throw line. Emilia Borissova added 8 points, knocking down 3 of her 11 shot attempts as the Beavers worked to generate offense with a limited rotation.
Turnovers once again proved costly, as the Beavers committed 34 on the night. The team shot 15-for-41 from the field, finishing with a 36.6 shooting percentage. On the glass, the Beavers held their own, pulling down 31 rebounds compared to Butler's 33.
Despite the obstacles, the Beavers continued to compete and will look to build on the effort as they move forward. Their next game will be this coming Saturday as the Independence Pirates come to Dennis Lesh Sports Arena.
