The Beavers came up short on the road, falling 70–34 in a tough outing where the offense struggled to find a rhythm from the opening tip. Despite competing hard throughout the contest, the Beavers were never quite able to get their footing or generate consistent scoring opportunities.
Shots were hard to come by as the offense was unable to get into a steady flow, allowing the opponent to build momentum on both ends of the floor. Even so, the Beavers continued to battle and look for positives as the game progressed.
Sophomore Kalani Brock led the way with a strong performance, finishing with seven points and a team-high 10 rebounds. Brock's effort on the glass helped keep the Beavers competitive and set the tone with her energy and physical play.
One bright spot on the afternoon was the team's depth, as all 13 players who dressed were able to see action and gain valuable game experience.
The Beavers will look to regroup and respond when they return to action this Saturday afternoon at home against Coffeyville. Tip-off is set for 2 pm Saturday afternoon, and the Beavers will aim to turn the page and protect their home court.
