On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the Pratt Community College Women's Basketball team (6-6, 2-5) hosted Dodge City Community College (11-0, 6-0). The Beavers fell short in this game, 45-80.
The first quarter was very close with Pratt trailing 13-14 at the end of the period, Kalani Brock led the way for all scorers in the opening period with 8 points. She also grabbed 4 rebounds and had a steal to round out her performance.
The second quarter saw Dodge start to create a gap between the squads. The Beavers managed only 8 points while giving up 16 during the quarter. Part of the Beaver' struggles could be attributed to Brock's lack of aggression. She only attempted one shot during the period. The half time score was 21-30.
At halftime, the standout performers for the Beavers were Kalani Brock and Polla Balint. Brock had 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. Balint had 6 points and 5 rebounds.
In the third period, Dodge's lead grew further. Pratt was outscored 9-24. Brock continued her strong night by scoring 7 of the 9 Beaver points in the quarter. Going into the fourth quarter, she had 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 steals. Pratt trailed 30-54 at the end of the third quarter.
Pratt had their highest scoring quarter in the fourth period with 15 points scored. Brock added 9 points and a steal in the quarter.
Kalani Brock was the high scorer for the game with 24, led the Beavers in rebounding with 9, and also topped the steals category with 6.
Following the loss, the Beaver's record fell to 6-7 on the year.
The Beavers will be back in action on January 3, 2026 as they travel to Concordia, KS to face the Cloud County Community College Thunderbirds.
