Three members of the Pratt Community College softball team earned recognition for their efforts this season, as Kennadie Arevalo, Desirae Lopez, and Blair Shipman were each named to the All-KJCCC Division I Softball Honorable Mention Team.
Arevalo turned in a strong offensive seasons for the Beavers. She led Pratt with a .343 batting average while collecting 46 hits, 12 doubles, two triples, four home runs, and 26 RBI across 50 games. Her .552 slugging percentage also ranked among the team leaders. Defensively, Arevalo handled 137 chances and finished with 72 putouts and 48 assists while playing a key role in the infield throughout the season.
Lopez provided consistency both at the plate and defensively for the Beavers this season. She appeared in 45 games and hit .279 with 34 hits, three triples, 23 runs scored, and 10 RBI. Lopez also showed patience at the plate with 16 walks and finished with a .373 on base percentage. Defensively, she was one of the busiest players on the field, recording 102 putouts and 47 assists while helping anchor the Beaver defense throughout conference play.
Shipman made her impact in multiple ways during the season. At the plate, she totaled seven RBI and added a home run while appearing in 36 games. In the circle, Shipman logged 80 innings pitched, recorded 31 strikeouts, and earned two wins while often taking on difficult assignments against some of the top offenses in the KJCCC. Defensively, she also posted a .967 fielding percentage with just one error all season.
The recognition reflects the hard work, perseverance, and dedication each player brought to the program throughout the season.
