Olusesi Posts Season High in Loss to Coffeyville - Cameron Cox

[Pratt, KS-Feb 26th, 2026] - Men's Basketball was at home against Coffeyville for a late season conference game. The Beavers were searching for their fourth conference win coming off of a loss on Wednesday. The Beavers would play an ultra competitive game in the second half on Saturday evening but the cold start in the first half would prove to be too much as they fell to Coffeyville 87-75. 

Game Recap: 

Pratt (7-21), (4-19) started off the game going back and forth with Coffeyville (19-9), (13-9) gaining an early 9-8 lead. Coffeyville would answer with a few buckets of their own making it a 19-13 game early on. Coffeyville extended their lead by getting hot on offense making the score 28-17. 

The following three minutes saw Coffeyville take control over the game jumping out to a 29-19 lead early. The Pirates kept extending their led with turnovers being an issue for the Beavers. The damage would persist as the Beavers fell behind by 10 points 37-27 at the break. 

The second half saw the Beavers start cold as the Pirates held a 47-30 lead at the first media timeout. Pratt would trade shots back and forth with the Pirates for the whole second half however the 47-30 deficit was something the Beavers never recovered from. The Beavers would go on to lose 72-55 despite a valiant first half effort.
