Pratt Community College dropped a narrow 29-26 decision on the road Wednesday evening after a late fourth-quarter push came up just short in a competitive contest from start to finish. Pratt struck first just 24 seconds into the opening quarter and carried momentum into halftime with a 13-7 advantage before the game tightened in the second half.
Brooklyn Delgado paced the Beaver offense with 230 passing yards on 20 completions while adding 74 rushing yards and accounting for all four Pratt touchdowns. Delgado directed an offense that produced 304 total yards and consistently moved the ball through the air, including a late scoring drive in the final minute that brought Pratt within one possession.
Defensively, Kiona Bradshaw turned in a standout performance with seven tackles and five sacks, helping Pratt register seven total sacks on the night. Bradshaw's pressure in the backfield played a major role in limiting opportunities and keeping the Beavers within striking distance throughout the contest.
Pratt also received key contributions from the receiving corps, led by Grace Wilson with six catches, while the Beavers finished with 11 first downs and controlled several extended scoring drives. Pratt will look to carry that momentum forward into its next contest. The Beavers return to action Saturday as they travel to North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Mo to face the Pirates, a team Pratt defeated 40-6 earlier this season.
