Beaver Esports Valorant and League of Legends Teams Set for NJCAAE Title Defense

Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College (PCC) esports team is set to begin competition in the National Junior College Athletic Association Esports (NJCAAE) Division I National Championships for both League of Legends and Valorant. Both teams enter the tournament as defending national champions from the Fall 2025 season and will look to defend their titles this spring. A berth in the Collegiate League of Legends (CLoL) and Collegiate Valorant (CVAL) playoffs is also on the line with a NJCAAE championship. 

The PCC League of Legends team will begin its title defense on Tuesday, March 24, taking on Brookdale Community College (BCC) in the semifinals at 8:30 p.m. The Beavers earned the No. 1 overall seed after posting a perfect 5-0 regular season record. With a win, Pratt will advance to the national championship match on Monday, March 30 at 6:00 p.m., where it will face either Blinn College (BC) or the College of DuPage (COD).  

The PCC Valorant team opens postseason competition on Thursday, March 26, facing Daytona State College (DSC) in the quarterfinals at 6:00 p.m. Pratt enters as the No. 1 seed following an undefeated 7-0 regular season. With a victory, the Beavers will advance to the semifinals on Thursday, April 2 at 6:00 p.m., where they will face the winner of Marshalltown Community College (MCC) and Columbia Basin College (CBC). The NJCAAE Valorant National Championship is scheduled for Thursday, April 9 at 6:00 p.m. 

"I am proud of both teams for finishing the regular season undefeated and earning the No. 1 seed in the NJCAAE National Championships," said head esports coach Charles Keefer. "I believe both teams have what it takes to defend their titles and represent the NJCAAE in both the CVAL and CLoL playoffs." 

Both teams will also compete at Heartland 2026, hosted by Kansas State University, on March 27–28 while continuing competition in additional leagues.
