Beaver Valorant Team Wins NJCAAE National Championship

Pratt, Kan. - On Thursday, Dec. 11, the Pratt Community College (PCC) esports Valorant team defeated Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) 3-1 to win the National Junior College Athletic Association Esports (NJCAAE) national championship. The team finished the fall season with a 12-0 record. The team consists of Lucas Franzen Nori, Arthur Henriques Borges, Theo Kreibich, Gilson Rabelo Galvao, Lucas Seiji Tanaka Saraiva, and Lucas Tercarioli Castanho 

"Last spring the Valorant team finished national runner-up in the NJCAAE D2 league and since that day this has been our mission," said head esports coach Charles Keefer. "I am proud of this team for coming together, buying into the mission, and putting in the work to be successful." 

The Beavers also competed in the Unified Collegiate League- Premier (UCL) and finished third in the league. The team was defeated by Harrisburg University of Science and Technology 2-0. In addition, the team won the 2025 CVAL Fall Warmup Odin division championship back in early November. 

"I am excited about the future of this team," said coach Keefer. "We are excited to defend our championship, try and win the UCL, and make a tournament run in the 2026 collegiate VAL tournament."
