Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College (PCC) esports Valorant team is ready for the National Junior College Athletic Association Esports (NJCAAE) national semi-final match against the No. one seed Daytona State College. The match will take place on Monday, April 21 at 6:00 pm.
The fourth seed Beavers opened the national tournament with a 2-0 win over the fifth seeded WVU Potomac State College on Thursday, April 17. The team consists of Lucas Castanho, Theo Kreibich, Gilson Rabelo Galvao, Gabriel Silva and Jack Shaffer. With a win in the semi-final match, the team would advance to the national championship match against Crowder College or Centralia College on Thursday, April 24. The team finished the regular season 6-1 with the only loss coming from a forfeit during spring break.
"Our Valorant team has a chance at making history this week if we continue to play at or above our potential and work as a cohesive unit," said head esports coach Charles Keefer. "To play in the national semi-finals is a credit to the work ethic of our team and their consistent practice and scrimmage schedule."
