Rocket League Set for Unified Collegiate League Championship Match

Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College (PCC) Esports Rocket League team is set to face off against the Lakers of Grand Valley State University (GVSU) team blue in the Unified Collegiate League (UCL) championship on Monday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Esports arena located on the backside of Porter Hall.

The team finished the regular season 8-1 and received the number one seed and first round bye in the postseason tournament and faced GVSU team blue in the second round and lost 3-1 which knocked the Beavers into the loser's bracket. Pratt defeated Winona State University (WSU) 3-0 and then GVSU team black 3-0 in the loser's final on April 7.

"I am so proud of this team's resilience fighting its way back through the loser's bracket. Especially in last night's losers' final against a team who beat us 3-2 earlier in the regular season," said head Esports coach Charles Keefer. "The GVSU team blue is a talented team that we have faced twice this season with both times resulting in a loss. We have improved as a team, and we know what that team is capable of, and we are ready to face the challenge head on."

The match can be watched in person in the Esports arena or live on Twitch at twitch.tv
