Daytona Beach, FL - The NCA College Nationals represent the pinnacle of collegiate cheerleading, a stage where the nation's best programs come together to compete at the highest level. For Pratt Community College, having the opportunity to perform on that stage this season marked a significant step forward in rebuilding a proud tradition.
With only a few short months to prepare, the Pratt cheer program focused on laying the groundwork for long-term success. The emphasis this year was on building a strong foundation and beginning the process of returning Pratt Cheer to the forefront of the collegiate cheer world. Despite the limited preparation time, the squad showed remarkable growth, evolving into a college-level team capable of putting a performance on the mat. For many athletes, Nationals also carried added significance, serving as the final performance of their cheer careers, making the experience even more meaningful.
"In just a couple short months, the team progressed into a college-level squad," Coach Coleman Wright noted. "Our goal this season was simply to get them there and give them that opportunity." Having a complete, performable routine at Nationals was a major accomplishment in itself, and the experience gained on such a big stage will be invaluable moving forward.
As the program looks ahead, the focus now shifts to continued growth and development. The foundation has been set, and with momentum on their side, Pratt Cheer is eager to keep building toward a return to national prominence.
