    Pratt Community College Director of Athletics Bill Wilson announced today the hiring of John Ishee as the Beavers new head women’s basketball coach. Ishee brings to Pratt a wealth of experience as a basketball coach that spans over 25 years.

    Pratt Community College women’s basketball traveled to Concordia, Kan. on March 2 to face Cloud County Community College in the first round of the Region VI tournament. The Beavers season comes to an end at the hands of Cloud 44-76.

    Pratt Community College women’s basketball closed out the regular season in the Beaver Dome on Feb. 27. Scoring woes in the third quarter proved too much for the Beavers as PCC drops the game to Allen County Community College 51-66.

    Sophomore center Megan Poole has been named as a KJCCC player of the week for week 13 of the season. She has been recognized for her play last week in games against Neosho and Colby.

    Road wins are hard to come by, yet the Pratt Community College Women’s team went into Chanute, Kan. and came away with a hard fought victory over Neosho County Community College on Feb. 8. The Beavers controlled and held off the efforts of a persistent Neosho team taking the win, 78-67.

    A third quarter burst by Coffeyville proved to be the downfall of the Pratt Community College women’s basketball team on Feb. 4. The Beavers went cold in the third while Coffeyville used the 20 points they scored in the quarter to take a 48-71 victory.

    Early scoring woes plagued the Pratt Community College women’s basketball team giving Hutchinson Community College the opening they needed to secure a victory on Jan. 25. The Beavers offensive drought allowed Hutchinson to push forward and take the win 45-87.

    The Pratt Community College women’s basketball team went on the road to face Dodge City Community College on Jan. 22. The Blue and White took control of the game in the second quarter and never looked back in route to a 75-59 victory.

    The Pratt Community College women’s basketball team clawed their way back in the fourth quarter against Independence Community College on Jan. 18. Fighting hard the Beavers chipped away at the Independence lead cutting the deficit to 10 points with 3:35 left in the game. PCC suddenly went cold from the field at that point and Independence was able to secure the win, 49-67.

    Due to the weather, Pratt Community College women’s basketball found themselves playing two games in three days. And what a turnaround it was. The Beavers traveled to Iola to face Allen County and came away with a 71-54 win.

    A scoring drought in the middle of the first half plagued the Pratt Community College women’s basketball team against Cowley College on Jan. 11. The Beavers went cold for most of the second quarter allowing Cowley to build a lead and take the victory as PCC falls 34-77.

    The long ball proved to be the downfall for the Pratt Community College women’s basketball team (3-10; 2-7 KJCCC) in their matchup against Garden City Community College (6-6; 4-5 KJCCC). A second half surge of threes by Garden City defeated the Beavers, 50-65.
  • Sophomore pair secures win against Colby CC

    Sophomores Brianna Samilton and Megan Poole led the way for Pratt Community College women’s basketball (3-9; 2-6 KJCCC) against Colby Community College (3-9; 1-7 KJCCC). The pair combined for 32 points as the Beavers prevailed on the road against Colby, 54-41.
  • Beavers defend the Dome against Neosho

    The Pratt Community College women’s basketball team defended the Beaver Dome on Dec. 3 against Neosho. The Beavers came out of the gate with strong offensive production and a stout zone to produce a lead that Neosho could not overcome. PCC defeated Neosho 74-65.

    Road woes continue to plague Pratt Community College women’s basketball when they hit the road to take on Coffeyville Community College on Nov. 30. Coffeyville defended their home court taking the win 53-78.

    Pratt Community College women’s basketball battled Seward County Community College on Nov. 26. The Beavers were undone by the 6’8” center from Seward, falling 66-79.
  • PCC drops game to Cloud

    Pratt Community College women’s basketball (1-7) fell to Cloud County Community College (5-2) in the Beaver Dome, 40-102.
  • PCC falls on the road to Hutchinson CC 41-85
    November 22, 2016
    Pratt Community College traveled to Hutchinson on Nov. 19 to take on the Blue Dragons. The Beaver road woes continue as Hutchinson capitalized for the win, 41-85.
  • PCC topped by Dodge City 71-76
    November 17, 2016
    In a back and forth game, Pratt Community College women’s basketball (1-5) was unable to get over the small Dodge City Community College (1-3) lead in the Beaver Dome. The Beavers fought hard, but Dodge City maintained a five point lead for the victory 71-76.
