    Devon Andrews had a great 2016-17 season for the Pratt Community College men’s basketball team and the accolades keep coming in for the freshmen guard. This off season, Andrews has been recognized as a first team all-conference player, a Region VI first team all-region player, and freshmen of the year in the KJCCC.

    The season comes to an end for Pratt Community College men’s basketball in the quarterfinals of the Region VI tournament. Butler Community College was able to pull away late in the second half as the Beavers fall to Butler 102-115.

    Pratt Community College men’s basketball faced a tough Cloud County Community College team in Concordia, Kan. on March 2. In the Region VI tournament first round game both teams clashed in a closely contested matchup. It took four for four free throws down the stretch by Jaylon Wilson and Dominique Bell for the Beavers to emerge with the 82-76 win to move on in the Region VI tournament.

    Pratt Community College men’s basketball closed out the season on sophomore night against Allen County Community College. It took overtime, but the Beavers defended the Dome to send the sophomores out with a 97-92 win over Allen County.

    Pratt Community College men’s basketball (4-8; 2-7 KJCCC) versus Garden City Community College (10-3; 6-2 KJCCC) turned into a high scoring affair on Dec. 10. The Beavers fell as Garden City was near perfect from the free throw line shooting 85 percent for the game and 91 percent in the second half. PCC falls to Garden City 104-118.

    Devon Andrews had a career game for Pratt Community College men’s basketball. On the road against Colby Community College the freshmen guard’s career night carried the Beavers to an 88-80 victory.

    Pratt Community College men’s basketball notched their first conference win of the season against Neosho on Dec. 3. Pushing the offense, the Beavers were able to get a 20-point lead against Neosho and survive for the victory 88-86.
