Pratt Community College softball player Marisa Jonas has been selected as the KJCCC softball player of the week for week three of the season.
The Beavers played eight games over the week of Feb. 26- March 4, 2018. During that span, Jonas was 13 for 24 at bat for an average of .542. She also accounted for five runs and had 10 RBIs. Jonas' highlights of the week were her first three home runs of the season. None of them were bigger than her fifth inning grand slam against Hesston College in Game 2.
"I am very excited to see Marisa's hard work and detailed attention to being the best player possible garner conference recognition," said PCC head softball coach Melvin Jenkins. "Her performance this season is an extension of the solid offensive production she showed as a freshman, and the trust she garners from her teammates for her leadership on and of the field."
